Phil had a busy day on shift yesterday. Starting with a normal pickup, it then went epic with him visiting Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Newtown Birth Centre, the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and a residential milk run in between. 284 miles covered.

Thanks to the NICU nurse at Newtown hospital for a chocolate bunny and thanks to BP service station colleague for a free cup of coffee, as well as the free fuel. BP’s way of helping us in this crisis.

And thanks to Debbie, the controller, without all our amazing controllers, Blood Bikes Wales couldn’t operate as effectively as we do. One team one goal. To Help the NHS any way we can.

To round off the day, 2 Blood Bikes and 3 Blood Bikers clapping outside Wrexham Maelor hospital with other emergency services to show our appreciation. Great work, amazing people. Thank you to all NHS staff.
