Why We Volunteer

Today we would like to say a massive thank you to our Maintenance Team

When asked why he volunteers, our Fleet Manager Patrick summed it up perfectly:

” I wanted to use the skills and experience I had gained throughout my working life to support a great cause”

That simple statement reflects the contribution made not only by Patrick, but by all of our maintenance volunteers.

We have a fleet of 24 motorcycles garaged across 9 locations throughout Wales. These bikes are maintained by experienced volunteers who ensure that every motorcycle is not only roadworthy but ready to respond whenever needed.

Their role goes far beyond routine maintenance. They arrange servicing at agreed intervals, coordinate transport to and from approved service centres, and work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our fleet safe, reliable and available.

Our motorcycles are one of our most visible assets. They are used every day by our duty riders, and regularly feature at PR events, presentations and community engagements. They attract interest wherever they go, and people of all ages love the opportunity to sit on a bike and have their photograph taken.

All of this work is carefully monitored and coordinated by our Fleet manager, Patrick, who after several years in the role has decided to step aside and enjoy some of the plans he has made for his retirement.

We would like thank Patrick for his dedication, commitment and leadership, and also recognise the incredible support provided by:
