Today is National Blood Bikes Awareness day, #BloodBikeDay. We’ll spend the day telling you a little bit about Blood Bikes.
Did you know? You don’t have to ride a bike to be a Blood Biker. Controller Irene has just commenced her shift and her trusty steed will be a phone.
Irene will start the day by booking on our duty riders, Alan, David, Phil, and Jeffrey who between them will provide day cover for our NHS until our 24-hour weekend service kicks in this evening.
From then on Irene will take calls from our NHS asking for help, other Blood Bike groups across the country to arrange relays and will track from start to finish all the jobs our riders undertake.
Have good shift I am looking forward to starting my training as a controller
