Another Bank Holiday weekend looms, just as the weather turns of course. Whilst many are looking forward to a little more fresh air and freedom than has been customary over the last year our duty volunteers have a full weekend ahead of them, starting today.

A north-south relay involving 3 of our riders transported 2 litres of donated human milk from The Milk Bank at Chester to the NICU in the University Hospital of Wales.
The first rider in that relay then did a quick U-turn to take another 2 litres to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital.

This is on top of the scheduled runs we complete on a Friday. I have also taken a call for Monday from a hospital in N Wales who wanted to book early.
So from 0800hrs this morning our controllers and riders will be running 24 hours a day until midnight Monday. And in the background, we have members working on membership, fundraising, admin tasks, and as trustees.

All volunteers, all free, all for our NHS.
